Privacy Policy
Last updated: 7 October 2026
This policy explains what information ReactionTestTime (“we”, “us”) collects when you use reactiontesttime.com, why we collect it and the choices you have. We designed the site so you can use every test without an account and without telling us who you are.
1. Reaction test results
When you complete a test, your browser sends an anonymous record to our database containing:
- the test type and each attempt's reaction time, false starts and (for the choice test) correctness;
- summary values calculated from those attempts (average, median, best, worst, standard deviation);
- a coarse device type (desktop, mobile or tablet), input type (mouse, touch, pen or keyboard) and browser family;
- a two-letter country code supplied by our hosting provider at request time (your IP address is not stored with results);
- a random identifier generated and stored in your browser, used to limit abuse and duplicate submissions;
- an age range, only if you choose to provide one after a test.
These records do not include your name, email address, precise location or IP address. We use them to calculate the aggregate statistics published on this site. We never infer sensitive characteristics such as age, gender, ethnicity, religion, health or political opinions.
2. Data stored on your device
Your recent results, personal best, the random identifier described above and your analytics consent choice are stored in your browser's local storage. They stay on your device; you can clear them at any time through your browser settings.
3. Contact form
If you contact us, we store the name, email address, subject, inquiry type and message you provide so we can reply. We use this information only to respond to you and delete messages that no longer need to be kept.
4. Analytics and cookies
With your consent, we use Google Analytics (via Google Tag Manager) and Microsoft Clarity to understand how the site is used (for example, which tests are popular and where people get stuck). These services may set cookies and process technical data such as your browser, device and approximate location. Until you accept, analytics storage is disabled using Google Consent Mode, and Clarity is not loaded. You can change your choice by clearing this site's data in your browser. Analytics events never include your name, email or other directly identifying information.
Advertising
We show ads through Google AdSense to keep the site free. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your previous visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on those visits. Ads are only personalised if you accept cookies; otherwise Google shows limited, non-personalised ads. You can opt out of personalised advertising in Google's My Ad Center, and read how Google uses information from sites that use its services. Ad requests never include your test results.
Administrators who sign in to the site's admin area use strictly necessary authentication cookies.
5. Service providers
- Vercel: website hosting and delivery, plus Vercel Web Analytics (cookieless, aggregated page-view statistics that do not identify you).
- Supabase: database, authentication and file storage.
- Google (Tag Manager, Analytics, Search Console, AdSense): analytics, advertising and search performance, with consent.
- Microsoft (Clarity, Bing Webmaster Tools): usability analytics with consent, and search performance.
These providers process data on our behalf and may process it outside your country under appropriate safeguards.
6. Legal bases
Where privacy laws such as the GDPR or UK GDPR apply, we process anonymous test data and security information on the basis of our legitimate interests in operating and improving the service and publishing aggregate statistics; analytics cookies on the basis of your consent; and contact-form data on the basis of our legitimate interest in responding to you.
7. Retention
Anonymous test results are kept to maintain long-term statistics. Contact messages are retained only as long as needed to handle your inquiry. Analytics data is retained according to the settings of the respective provider.
8. Your rights
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete or restrict the processing of your personal data, to object to processing, and to withdraw consent. Because test results are anonymous we usually cannot link them to you, but we will help where we can. Contact us at reactiontimetest@gmail.com. You may also complain to your local data protection authority.
9. Children
The site is intended for a general audience and does not knowingly collect personal information from children. Test results are anonymous.
10. Changes
We may update this policy as the site evolves. Material changes will be reflected by the “last updated” date above. Questions? Contact us.
